I bought these straws because I am very conscious of the amount of waste I create and try to do my best to minimize it. I refused to buy a big pack of plastic straws just to throw them away and let them end up in a sea turtle’s nose or something. I just got these but I can already tell I love them. I love that they give you multiple different sizes, and they also include two cleaning brushes which makes cleaning them a breeze. I also just put them in the dishwasher if I’m feeling lazy. Great straws for the environmentally conscious!

I have grown tired of seeing junk tossed on our roadways and in our rivers and oceans. It’s crazy the amount of refuse that is discarded on a daily basis in our dump sites. A lot of restaurants and bars are trying to stop from using straws; however, many of us still like to use straws. Therefore, I found the idea of straws that could be reused appealing.These items are well made and have a nice little pouch so that they can be easily stored in my purse. The pouch includes a brush in order to clean them after use. Hopefully, it will be something that will catch on and rid our planet of unnecessary discards.

Everybody lately is talking about the huge problem we have with plastic items. When I really started to research it I was pretty appalled. Then I looked at my plastic use. I was using a lot of straws.When I saw these straws I liked the color, also I liked that I got straight and bent straws in the same package. Including the little bag and cleaning brush was a bonus to me . I’m going to buy a shorter size from the same company. So far they have been terrible, easy to clean, people love the rainbow color, etc. The price is fabulous. Plus I like knowing that I can do a little something to contribute to the better of the world versus take away from it.

The straws are beautiful – I’ve even gotten compliments on their gem-like colors. These are the tall metal straws – I also have the 8″ ones, which and wider and work better with regular-size glasses; the tall ones work best for water bottles, tall drinks like iced tea, etc. If you’d seen the pictures I have, first you’d cry, then you’d promise yourself to do something about it. There is a video of a sea turtle who somehow got a plastic straw jammed all the way up her nostril, and the people are trying to remove it. I cannot imagine the pain for that poor, beautiful turtle. We have to do away with single-use, throw away petroleum plastics for our oceans, our Planet, and all of those wild animals who don’t deserve to suffer from our throw away society – not strangle on loops of plastic, or get tangle in it, or ingest hundreds of single-use plastic grocery bags, as whales, dolphins and turtles have died with 13, 17, 40 – one sperm whale died from 64 pounds of plastic in her stomach. Getting reusable straws and grocery bags, and drink bottles and other reusable items can save huge amounts of plastics from damaging our oceans and hurting or killing animals.

Used for drinks and smoothies since receiving this past week. If you use cups that are shorter than about 6 or 7 inches, i feel like they might be a little too long for them and might fall out but I use larger cups so that hasn’t been a problem for me. Cold drinks make them very cold to the touch and again that hasn’t been an issue for me but it might be for some people. I could also see the metal maybe being a hazard to younger kids or just teeth in general. While cleaning them, I have noticed a little bit of a metal smell from the inside but not so much when in use (maybe that will go away after washing and using a few times). The bent straws are slightly harder to clean with the brush at the bend than the straight ones so I see myself using the straight straws more often and only use the bent straws for water or juice, not something more difficult to clean like a smoothie. Overall, good quality for price.

To me it is insulting to the target market for it to come in plastic. The cloth bag had a plastic bag around it, the point of buying metal straws is to reduce plastic (for me), redundant if the item comes in plastic. The product itself is great.

We waited a few months before writing a review on these. They work exactly as they should, and we haven’t experienced any rusting or anything after daily use. I think my only complaint is that the silicone pieces don’t all fit perfectly over time, but I guess that’s to be expected. Even considering that, I was really happy they came with them, because I did try the straws without them and didn’t like it as much.

The only down fall I found was the “rainbow Crome” was not that. It had 1/2 pink on one side and 1/2 green on the other. This means it is not color shifting and I thought.These straws for Starbucks cups. The bent straw is a bit short for the double wall cups (pictures)

The reason I gave it a low rating is because the package I received did not have any identifying labels on it (like the packaging shown in the photos), other than listing made in China. I do not know if what I received is actually FDA approved as lead free or BPA free.

These are not what they claim. The “metal” is chipping off. Not sure what these are made of, but stainless steel shouldn’t chip to reveal black underneath. We hand wash and use only at home.
