For people who are going to buy these RAMs to upgrade 2017 5k iMac, don’t mix Kingston RAMs with Apple original RAMs, Apple original RAMs are cl17, but Kingston RAMs are cl14. It will make all memory speed down to 2133MHz.Original RAMs are 2 x 4GB, Kingston RAMs are 2 x 16GB, not sure about other cases. Also original RAMs were in dimm0 slots, I added Kingston RAMs in dimm 1 slots, iMac couldn’t boot. Then swapped original RAMs to dimm1 slots, Kingston RAMs to dimm0 slots, iMac could boot successfully.Hope this review helps.

I purchased this as an 8GB upgrade for my Lenovo ThinkPad T480s. This is the exact Samsung SKU that Lenovo had on their website. Lenovo puts their own part number on it, but the sticker on the SODIMM itself in the picture is this exact model SODIMM. I just finished installing it and booting up my computer. It’s working exactly as expected for quite a bit less than Lenovo’s price of $135. Lenovo SKU 4X70M60574

Recently purchased this memory since it is half the cost of ‘Synology’ brand.Everything boots and displays accurately. Someone had a misleading post about this memory running at 1333mhz, but as you can see from my screenshots, dmidecode clearly shows the proper 1866mhz.I *will* report back if I experience any foul issues with my DiskStation, but based on my CS degree and 15 years of IT experience, I think it’ll work just fine. ;)UPDATE: 2-years later and my Synology is still purring like a cat.In fact, I decided to buy *more* of this memory for my Dell XPS I recently purchased. Dell always puts ‘good’ parts in their XPS, but I wanted ‘great’ memory. As you can see I went from 16gb to 32gb, but my Memory Mark scores also went from 79th percentile to 93rd! This is good stuff.

Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 SODIMM – didn’t work in my top of the range Alienware 17R4, even with the HK cpu. All recognised in BIOS but had no end of windows errors and could not get into windows at all. Tried to reinstall windows 10, but could not get past all the BSOD errors… Such a shame. I guess the Alienware does not support 3200MHz ram. Supports 2666MHz though as thats what mine came with…

This is one of the few 32gb options on Amazon and a better price than the “kits” so many sellers try to trick people into buying. 32gb of RAM in one slot and I still have room for another 32gb of RAM. Finding these can be difficult because other sellers try to pass off a 2x16gb “kit” as a single 32gb module. Rest assured, this is one 32gb module. I just installed it today and did a fresh windows 10 pro x64 install and it works flawlessly. If you’re looking for 1x32gb to boost your system performance, this is the one to buy.

One of my 2010 Macbook pro ram slots kicked the bucket and need to upgrade the remaining good slot to 4gb of ram instead of leaving it with just 2. This worked perfectly and it is still running like a champ! I can’t speak on the durabilty as that ive only had it a week, so as of now it is 5 stars. I’ll update this post if anything changes.

I put 2 in my new iMac for a total of 64GB. Works great! And my iMac has two more slots, so I can eventually buy 2 more and have 128gb total. Wow!

Pros:* reasonable price* easy to install using instructions available from Apple (linked from the “About this Mac” menu, where you can also check compatibility)* worked perfectly, first try* shipped free in one day* well packedCons:* not a familiar name brand memoryCommentary:Inexpensive way ($70) to boost performance of a mid-2011 iMac that my mother replaced because it was “slow.” Her primary application is email and web browsing. She had only used 100 gb of her 1 tb hard drive. . . but memory was still at the base 4 gb, so I assumed the memory was the limiting factor. Definitely put some pop back into the computer!Addendum 8/2020: the memory is still working well and the computer continues to remain in service at my sister’s for general computing tasks.

I recently bought an HP-15-db0069wm AMD 15 inch laptop that comes with 8 GB RAM filling one of two memory slots. For less then $40 I doubled the memory to 16 GB. Two sticks of RAM puts AMD boards into Dual Channel mode further enhancing performance. This RAM is the exact same model as what comes with my laptop. So far, along with upgrading to an M.2 500 GB SSD as the boot drive, I now have a “cheap” laptop that performs anything but cheap.WARNING:Installation of these parts for the above HP laptop isn’t for the squeamish or fumbled fingered. While I wouldn’t think twice about ripping a brand new laptop apart, some may, and for some folks I would recommend having your local computer shop install this for you. There are instructions on the internet for disassembly for the brave.

This RAM was an excellent match with my ASUS VivoBook 15, which came with only 8 Gigabytes (GB) (4 dedicated, and 4 swappable), and an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon VEGA Mobile integrated graphics. By replacing the 4 GB of swappable RAM for 8 GB, I improve performance overhead when handling multiple browser tabs, open office applications, and running spreadsheets between two monitors. At least 2 GB of the now 12 GB of memory is used by the integrated GPU, and the overall performance boost from having the extra memory headroom is noticeable.

I purchased this RAM and it was delivered Aug 20, 2020 and the Return Period was up on Sept 19th 2020. Today on Sept 30, 2020… one of the chips failed and my wifes MacBook would not boot, I removed one chip and it booted. I replaced the good chip with the one I removed previously and it would NOT boot so I know that one of these failed within 6 weeks. I would bypass this vendors product and spend a little more to get a quality chip rather than this one that failed. The original 2GB chips I had from when we purchased this laptop MANY years ago… still work fine, but I wanted to upgrade the memory on this laptop. Of course it failed right when my wife had an important ZOOM call… Spend more money and get a better chip.
